The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Casual Occupational Therapist to join our team in the Wheatbelt area. Working in the community, you will be responsible for the professional delivery of high quality occupational therapy services to clients in order to maximise their physical potential and achieve optimum independence and quality of life in their own homes. 


Hours of work in this role are flexible and we are able to consider candidates with availability both for half days or full days at least 3 days a week falling between Monday and Friday and between 7am and 5pm.


About you

The ideal candidate for this role holds relevant Occupational Therapist qualifications, up-to-date registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as well as previous experience in the field.  You will also meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use appropriate treatment and assessment methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to provide education, support and coaching to direct care employees
  • Valid unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
  • Current Senior First Aid certificate is desirable

Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
